That is a risky thing at closer ranges with her weaker armor. It's nearly as along as DM but its armor is worse and It's gun layout requires you to show side. DM can stand toe-to-toe (bow-to-bow rather) with any ship that isn't equipped with 16" guns at close ranges and it will probably win. Wooster prefers longer ranges and it is more a wear-you-down and burn-you-out affair. DM can HE spam behind islands at longer ranges all day long but it really likes to slip up close on enemies (cruisers and DDs mostly) and shred them with devastating salvos. The assured acquisition of DDs is extremely powerful, and you can definitely exploit it far better while kiting than you can sitting behind an island. It makes it INCREDIBLY annoying to kill in open water. The armor is kinda broken in the fact that you will virtually never eat a normal pen, but your citadel is low enough to get very rarely hit. After murdering the poor, helpless DDs, I just kite around 14km and daka BBs. I push up to support our DDs, and the second I'm spotted I pop that radar and start kiting. I've found the Worcester performs best playing it like a Zao. I don't have nearly enough Random games in the Worcester yet, but I've used it plenty in both CB and Ranked. So, for those of you who excel in Worcester, what's your tips and tricks for making her shine? I've only got 20 games in her so far, but I'm definitely looking to improve my track record with her in some Randoms this weekend, along with Flint, Kitakaze, and some others (yeah, I don't get it either). Obviously, this doesn't seem to be the special sauce for Wooster (yeah, couldn't help myself). I think part of my problem is trying to play them in the exact same manner.island hugging and jumping out when opportunities present themselves. But for whatever reason, I just can't find the magic in Worcester yet. I say surprisingly, because I'm a fairly decent Des Moines captain. Surprisingly, Worcester is near the bottom of my PR stats on. In an effort to relax and refresh after the past Ranked season, I've decided to go back and try and improve on some of my lowest performing ships.
